I am the faceless name
The nameless girl
I hide behind the reputations of others
I ignore my gut and go with my head
But in the end, all of this is meaningless

After these four years, my faceless persona will die out
I will be on my own
I have plans for my future
I have dreams from my past
But for the present, all I need for them to see that I am here
From consistancy and confinements
From shyness and uneasiness
And from anti-climatic endings
I am here

The author's comments:
I wrote this when I was feeling really low one day. All of my friends were busy with their lives and their other friends, and I was home alone on a Friday night watching a movie with my brother. I guess I just really wanted to write about what it felt like to be one of those kids who are stuck between the popular and the unpopular people. The people who are stuck in a kind of limbo that, especially in high school, seems so difficult to get out of.
