Desperately she searches for remains of their life together
But finds nothing other than shattered hopes he left behind
As she cries out to an owl howling in the night
She falls to her knees
And begs to him "please,
Lift these weights of heartbreak
Allow me to take flight
I have nothing left
For this thing in my chest
Beats no more
With this blade put my suffering to rest
Let me soar
