Candy for the Soul
Candy.
I love candy.
That hard kind with
the sweet taste that
lingers in
your mouth long after it’s
gone.
The kind with the
crinkly wrapper that never
wraps back up in
exactly
the same way.
The mystery kind where
you can never
figure out the flavor
‘till it’s in your mouth.
The kind that
slowly dissolves away and
you’re suddenly left with
a tiny bit that
hangs around
for a while.
I love candy.
I just wish they weren’t
so bad for
your teeth.
