Just a name
I am the name of Love,
A tenderness as vast as the heavens, as deep as the oceans, as endless as time spent on a passion,
I am the name of Love.
I am the name of Compassion,
A concern with all the reasons that come with Love, as caring as a mother with her nursing child and as strong as a rod of iron taken from the marrow of Adoration,
I am the name of Compassion.
I am the name of Knowledge,
An intelligence from life handed to me on a silver platter, not as wise as a sage, or a connoisseur, but I can advise and teach. I know and I can feel.
I am the name of Knowledge.
I am the name of Life,
A beatitude blooming in the warmth of a beach in an isolated island during spring, an ignorance in a child full of the bounty of curiosity, a heart aflight on your lover's wings.
I am the name of Life.
And yet
Mine is the name of Hurt,
A deception of deepest regret with a mistake of the harshest loathing. Incomparable is the pain that emanates from a heart stabbed from both ways, a lie present from the start.
Mine is the name of Hurt.
Mine is the name of the Past,
A story with no meaning, a smooth start that terminates with a shatter. A learning experience with every flip of the page. A tale of joy and a tale of misery.
Mine is the name of the Past.
Mine is the name of the Future,
A faithful leap that there is hope for one who has been set back, for one who has been betrayed, for one who has been near the end.
Mine is the name of the Future.
And so
I am the name of Caution,
A warning of what could be, a recurring past, another deception, hurt once again from a story with no meaning. Regard each moment with wariness. Approach each step with care.
Mine is the name of Caution.
