The Night
The wind blows,
the dancing leaves,
the trees sway,
silently carrying their own beat.
The moon watches over,
the world below,
to make sure the little one,
makes it home.
The shadows tell,
their own muted stories.
The allies scream,
a soundless shriek,
of an untold fairytale.
The buildings sleep,
along with the spirits inside.
The rats scramble,
in the world below.
The dandelions sing,
their tale of adventure.
The crickets sound,
the stars sparkle,
the swing lurches back and forth,
And the bats fly out,
on their graceful voyage,
into the unknown
