Time Stands Still
We walked along just the two o f us
Rain drops pelting down like bullets
 All was quiet
 Not a car passed by
No birds chirped in the trees
 All lights are frozen
 Everything is still
 Quiet
 It is unnerving
  We continue
 Our footsteps
 Echo
 With every splash of rain
 Anticipation grows
We wait to hear some sound
 Nothing
 A look at each other
 Our lips are sealed
For fear of breaking this enchanting spell
Time is at a stand still
Only we have not been altered by the change
We are lost in a dimension
 Nothing moves
 All exists
