Fresh baked cookies,
Smells of newly baked,
Happiness and joy.
Fresh baked cookies,
A tempting sight,
Waves of heat above them,
Beckon me to feast,
Upon baked laughter.
Fresh baked cookies,
Hearing the timer ding,
And the sizzle of hot oils,
Mixing with air,
And oven heat.
Fresh baked cookies,
Warming through the plate,
Burning the tips of my eager fingers,
As I pick them up, oblivious to the warning,
Coming from my mother.
Fresh baked cookies,
Chocolate chips,
Bursting and emptying,
Pure melted Heaven throughout my mouth,
The taste is overwhelming,
So is the heat.
A crash!
A cry!
Cookie pieces, porcelain pieces,
Flying as I drop my plate,
And spit out a mouthful of scalding hot cookie.
From that I have learned,
To stick with cake

There are too many phrases that don't make sense! Such as- "Today has been a long day." Hello? Each day is 24 hrs, last time I checked. And "No news is good news." Umm... what if they were kidnapped? Or they were murdered? Stupid English language.

Love it! (but I do prefer cookies!)

"So it goes"

this is very playful and fun. I love the topic and you describe it very well, the imagery is superb. The last line is my favorite of course! I also like the repetition of the "fresh baked cookies", it kept me on track. nicely done
