Naked In The Closet
I'm standing in front of a mirror
Stark Naked, yet I'm not embarrassed
It's dark, but I can see my reflection
White skin, brown eyes, curls piled on top of my head
In this room I've never seen
I feel confident as I walk towards the closet
I step inside, pull the string
Light floods the room
I look around me
I'm surrounded by clothes
Clothes I have no desire to put on
I'm usually shy and extremely reserved
But I'm smiling now at the freedom I feel
This new feeling of not caring
Then I wake up, my cheeks burning red against my pillow
And I am utterly ashamed of the dream I just had.
