Beautiful green trees,
shadowing my face.
Sunlight peeking through leaves,
my secret place.
Dreaming of flying,
away with the birds.
The craziness dying,
not a sound to be heard.
Fun at the pool,
playing with friends.
Not having school,
until August ends.
Summer’s end is coming near,
but don’t worry, it’ll be back in a year.
