If I Could
If I could kiss you wrists
or drink away your worry tears
I would
to prevent you from naivety
so you may not repeatedly fall
into cavity of mistake
But you won't listen
Trying to absorb your pain
into my skin
Squeezing closely as bodies can get
I press closer
Still no change
Can't I place you infinite duties in a bag
Send it flying
out to open window
so when it lands
it breaks
No
But why hate yourself so?
Critics most often disagree
For when I stop to glace
all I ever seem to see
is mystery staring
blatantly back at me
