This will be
the last time that I see him,
last time I say good byes,
the last time that I see,
those beautiful, longing eyes.
the last time that I hold him,
in a long and loving hug,
last time that I will hear him,
call me his love bug.
but it will be
the first time that I see him,
with these new and different eyes,
see what a jerk he really is,
and try not to cry.
the first time that I tell him,
he’s not the one for me,
the first time that I tell him,
i want to be set free.
