Hidden Love
I hate it when people look at me
But I love public speaking
That’s the one thing I love more than anything
The butterflies I get when I know I’m up
The walk to the podium scares the life out of me
It gives my audience a chance to judge me
When I reach the podium, I wait for the room to fall silent
Strong from the start, I gain confidence
Growing louder, stronger, better
I’m invincible
And no one can tell me otherwise
After the hearty applause, I return to my seat
No longer protected my the podium
I hate public speaking
