Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, Where the HECK is my ceiling?!

-Don't know who wrote this...

I'm different.
I'm too short, too tall,
Too clumsy, too weird.
You just don't understand.
You don't listen, you don't know,
You presume to know everything about me!
I'm amazing.
I'm beautiful, I'm brilliant,
I'm entertaining, I'm intelligent.
You see right through me.
You know my fears, you know my joy,
You know my deepest, darkest secrets.
I'm still growing.
I don't know everything,
And I have a long way to go.
You'll have to wait.
You'll have to be like me,
And wait, to see what I'll be.

This poem is about what I believe every teenager goes through as they're growing up. They feel the isolation caused by being different, the feeling that nobody understands them, that they're invincible, and that they're vunerable to everyone and everything. So this is just kinda like saying, "You don't know how I'll turn out! I don't even know! So don't judge me!"

This is so incredibly true. And I love the general message... great word choice, amazing format, very relatable.
