Crimson
deep
descent.
i am the poor,
sweet
innocent
thing.
or…at least that’s what
i told them to think.
captured and clothed in
the butterflies
of
your
stomach.
all alone,
I stand here
bare-backed,
on the cold
black and white
checked tile.
i spin
my words
around you
and the crimson
strands of light.
almost
out.
you can feel,
can’t you?
the way
the drums are beating,
against the carved feet
of the legs
of your spindly
throne.
i’m the honey,
you’re the
queen.
and
you
created
me.
and the chains are broken, your majesty.
i bet
you didn’t know
i was
a pretty little
liar.
i hid the tail and horns
under
the bed.
Slowly caving in.
i am
poised and
ready
to
pull
the
trigger.
Don’t worry,
you’re not
alone like me.
Or are you?
Ready to sacrifice?
