What Are Eyes Really?

Eyes
they are important
every pair is unique
some are hazel
some black and sleek
One is thought to be all-seeing
but eyes see everything
My eyes are blue
or maybe green
with flecks of gray
They're windows
to their lives
to souls,
to emotions and thoughts
Most say appearance is nice,
is all-important and trust-worthy
I say different
I love eyes
they tell you every detail
they say
"I Love You"
"I Hate You"
"You Betrayed Me"
"I'll Miss You"
"Kiss Me"
"Comfort Me"
