Wipeout
Waves roll around me
crashing
bobbing me along.
I dive
through the murky depths
down
to the ocean floor.
I stretch my hands
press them
against the bottom
holding on
with dear life
the current pulls
I lose my grip
grasping at the sand
desperately
I hit the sand
hard
and float
twisting
in the water
bubbles
flood my ears
salt
stings my nose
I surface
coughing violently
and all I got
was a fistful of sand
