Falling Under
I’m in agony
I can’t take it any more
How much longer
Do I have to bear this class for?
Her lips are moving
But the words don’t reach my ears
Only 10 minutes have passed
Yet it feels like it’s been years
I should be paying attention
I’ll need this information later on
But right now my mind is focused
On the fact that it’s just past dawn
On and on the teacher drones
It’s a never ending speech
Her words are melting together
It’s a strange lullaby, making me fall asleep
To my right and to my left
Most of the class is already in a deep slumber
But the rest are fighting hard,
We don’t want to risk falling under
