The Goddess of Night
Softly, softly.
Silence.
A cool breath sighs
Through the trees.
Whispers pass through
Rustiling branches.
Leaves brush one another.
Trees sway, bend, dance.
All through the night,
Through playful fingers,
Stars twinkle,
Mirroring the laughter
As seen on her pale face,
Glowing in the light of the moon.
Hair blows back,
Rustling.
She is creator, guardian, keeper.
A soft, cooling breeze-
Queen of Darkness.
