Listen to the leaves of the great green palm
Blowing the warm wind;
Like the trickling sound of water
falling from the zenith of a fountain.
spouts shoot up from the soil
and peek through the damp rocky perch
on which the stone sculpture stands.
The care free sounds
That have come to warn us
that summer is near.
