What You'll Learn MAG
What you'll learn
When you're in love
Is that
Eyes are bigger liars than
Any mouth can hope to be,
Disbelief prevails in the end,
And,
No matter how much you believe it,
You don't know best.
It turns out that
Flowers –
Roses, jasmine, Cosmos –
All drown in water.
Sometimes that look he gives you
Is just a force of habit.
And all that time you wasted
Wondering where he is,
Giving him shy glances,
Chasing him around that corner –
“Maybe today's the day he'll say it” –
Is gone.
What you'll learn
Is that you spent that time
Drowning willingly.
You'll also learn that maybe,
Maybe
He was never worth your time.
