Child
Child
She’s barely there,
Her mind elsewhere,
She cries out in vain,
Calling his name,
In lust and pain,
Time grows and he’s there no more,
For he has found his way to the door,
Cold and frightened she can not feel,
Numb as she is her thoughts are sealed,
She feels tingling again and again,
Tips of her fingers, dizzy in her head,
The mark he left grows inside her,
Careless now she waits awhile,
Starts to show more and more,
Stop it now? But what’s one more?
The breath he takes day and day,
But to want to take innocence away,
Cut the air, stop the breathing,
Holding his throat and suffocating,
His hands are small, tiny and smooth,
Not to feel or hear a coo,
His feet little and waving around,
Wanting to kick but nothings found,
His heart no bigger than a thumb,
Beats slowly, little drum,
Closed in darkness he lies limp,
Sleeping, quiet face is ripped,
His impending soul is released,
Its answer to future is ceased,
All because the girl did not see,
What this precious life could be
