The World is Blind
There’s a loneliness here that she feels
 deep down,
 that she tries to hide,
but she must think the world is blind

 Everything in written history,
everything she wants no one to see,
 It shows in her eyes,
 at first glance

And she feels like taking a chance
 is risking too much,
but she can’t get him out of her head,
it seems like he’s meant to be there

And it doesn’t matter to her,
who he is, or where he’s from,
what he’s said, what he’s done,
as long as he is what she’s missing inside

 But the world isn’t blind,
through her eyes they can see,
 what she’s missing,
and now they’re interviewing candidates for the position of…
 me.
