Freedom Brig MAG
If I've a prison, it's one of shape,
And like a canvas, it must have color.
This cell should be with windows
And in a place where I can hear the birds.
I'm confined? Then behind walls of marble,
And my cot is strung up close to Heaven
So that He Himself can decide my dreams.
I'll make the best of solitude
And sleep well knowing that a wild soul
Cannot be contained.
Under ball and chain, I can still roam free.
If I've a prison, it's one of freedom.
