Under the Trees
Under the copse of trees I lie,
Sunlight dancing through the leaves.
Under the copse of trees I lie,
Watching as the world goes by.
A soft breeze gently brushes my skin,
Its whispering voice tickling my ear.
A soft breeze gently brushes my skin,
As I listen to the birds’ soft din.
The leaves’ shadows are lace on the ground,
As they spin in the calm wind.
The leaves’ shadows are lace on the ground,
Spinning wildly around and around.
Peace is the word that comes to my mind,
As I lie under these majestic trees,
Peace is the word that comes to my mind,
As perfect peace I here find.
