Looking at the eyes staring back at her
They’re empty
They’re dark
They show nothing
The eyes tell a tragic story
They tell of a beginning
A beginning that doesn’t matter
They tell of an end
An end that they hope to see
The past haunts them
The future frightens them
The present they hope to be a distant memory
She turns her head
For she cant stand what she sees
She moves away from the mirror
Thinking, she will not have to face the truth
