just the thorns
You were my only escape.
The light that i craved, shined in your eyes.
When you held me close, everything felt right.
In your arms, i felt hypnotized.
With every little fight, we were torn apart.
And with every little lie, we fell a little more.
heading closer to an end.
We just couldnt seem to pull it together again.
Almost like putting petals back on a dying rose.
We were left with just the thorns.
and now from this mess we try to pull through.
we just cant grasp it.
Who know, mabe we can be okay, with just the thorns.

i can feel the emotion in this poem. i wonder what inspired it? i love the ending; it leads me with so much question that i almost want a sequel!! it takes a true author to be able to do that!
check out some of my work, too if you'd like. this is really great! keep writing!!(:
