A Collection of Unrelated Thoughts
He was like a golden angel
That sometimes descended into hell.
And kissing him was like
Climbing right out of the
Marble that encased me,
Caging me in.
I never held him or anything,
But I swear every touch of his
Was making me high.
It was a little slice of my
Childhood, every time his caresses
And smoky smiles reminding me
Of the hand-sewn bunnies
I snuggled with at night.
He told me, Darling, you just need
Some music, some songs to wrap
Around you.
And I said, Love, I'm doing this
Day by day.
But tears were falling,
Dropping onto his shoulder.
I don't love him
I don't love him
Maybe if I tell myself that
Enough times I'll
Believe it.
