You Needn't Flee My Sight
You needn’t flee my sight,
Stay in the light,
So I can see your angel’s face,
With that picture in my mind, I could win any race,
Stay, walk with me awhile,
Then we can laugh, then I can see you smile.
Come, to the river we will stroll,
And sit by the rabbit’s hole.
Now, tell to me
Who is your lovey?
If only I could be…
Ah, now you see!
I have known you only a second or two,
Yet I want to get love from you.
I will not force my will,
Nor would I threaten or kill.
I only will ask,
Only that one task.
So stay; do not take flight.
You needn’t flee my sight.
