Ocean
When i was younger they said you don't know
so i stood there and watched the waves slowly flow
observing the bystanders watching whose to come
salvaging words till i too understood some
holding on , till it was worn and old
but in the golden years tidal waves ,untold
so i put the old and worn and preserved it in little hands
lost it as with each passing day it became more buried in the sand
as it escaped amoung the hills and mounds
i slowly forgot and tried to look around
spent each passing hour looking amoungst piles more
but it seems i would never find the words i once adored
so i hope a child finds it and holds it with all their might
and listens to the ocean, till they too know whats right
