Look at canyons through shatters of diamonds
Look at the fire through a spatter of icy rain
Look at the world in shades of neutral gray
Look at the world through eyes that know pain

You can’t appreciate the world without perspective
You can’t understand things through dense mist
You can’t wonder why you have never understood
You can’t look at this like its flat data in a list

Feel the wind while it whips hair from your face
Feel the adrenaline from the top of a giant cliff
Feel the starlight as it collects among your soul
Feel the agony when you sense that dark rift

You can learn so much more by touching the world
You can fly so high even when your wings are broken
You can feel the thrill of life by just a simple feeling
You can get so much and yet leave with a simple token

Hear the rustle of cloth as you dance into midnight
Hear the song of the wren as it floats into your ears
Hear the roar of a waterfall as you stand way too close
Hear the rush of wings while an eagle flies so near

You can experience the universe in whole new ways
You can open up your ears and learn to sing along
You can laugh with everyone at every little joke
You can learn so much, and learning will never be wrong

I would like to say I was inspired by a lot of things, ranging from a song called Beautiful Day by U2, Rain by Creed and Talk by Coldplay. I just thought these songs were neat and I wanted to write a poem with similiar elements.
