As Long As The Earth Is Round
Today, you are a million and one
Steps away from me
And I would gladly walk the distance
If it meant that you would
Pull me close
And tell me how we're different
From the rest,
With your eyes shining with words that
We are too young to speak,
But know nonetheless.
And if you were to step away from me
Once more,
I would surely catch up if I knew
You weren't running away.
Because looking into you eyes
Is like lying in fresh cut grass
On a warm, sunny day.
And your laugh blows bubbles
That rise through me
Allowing a smile to ripple
over my face
And the touch of your skin
Is like tomorrow's sunrise,
Breathtaking no matter how many times
It replays-
Not letting the troubles to come
weigh on it's beauty.
Tomorrow, you will be a million and two
Steps away from me
And I would gladly walk the distance
If it meant saving you
From falling off the face of the Earth.
