The Wolf
Bright white the light of day,
And yellow glimmer are the teeth,
Of the camo brown, gray, and black,
Coat on coat across stout, solid,
Muscles of rigid body jabbed,
With sickly ribs and skinny bones.
Deep coal nose, wet and fresh,
To smell the stinging air that blows,
Sharp north towards the ranges,
And pompous mountains tucked in,
With flacky white quilts,
On the cloudy mystic horizons.
Soulful eyes as round black windows,
Lighted inside by life and spirit,
With galaxies of heavenly clouds,
Colored blue like new born waters.
