Inside or Out
Yesterday I watched brown birds.
They danced around and pecked at things.
It was cute.
When I whistled to them they ran away.
Even when I threw food.
They were fearful still.
Just as I was ready to stop,
I noticed a group of people sit down.
Kids there began pelting the birds,
With hard candy and things they don't eat.
That's when I knew,
That I was a threat to the birds,
Because I looked just like,
The enemy.
