The Color of the Night
I've heard night is black
but I find that hard to believe
 when I look up into
the navy blue quilt of sky
 adorned with
 violet clouds
 a round orange moon
and yellow stars like cat's eyes
 shimmering over a glass-green sea.

 And if the night is
 black (the absence of color)
 why am I always
 dreaming in technicolor?
