"it's better to be hated for who you are, than to be loved for what your not..."
"life isn't measured by the number of breaths you take but by the number of moments that take your breath away"

The indescribable sense of misery Burns within me,
Burns me to the crisp,
Blackening my soul,
Leaving my heart delicately torched,
The sides crumble to ashes in time,
Eroding to nothing but dust,
My sins found me again,
The cruel punishment takes place,
Leaving nothing,
Only the sound of fate laughing in my ear,
As I watch my dignity break piece by piece

"il piu nell' uno," (according to Emerson, an Italian expression for beauty)

"Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality" ~Emily Dickinson

"The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain"
~Kahlil Gibran

I can accurately describe this piece as poetically depressing. I liked it. It speaks clearly of defeat and misery. The fifth and sixth lines were my favorites. Well done with this.
