Journey
footprints mark silk like sand
spread across an infinite land
Eyes can reach the point
when sand meets sky
and the night never dies
The footprints show the path
hills and glass shards
always been passed
and i look down
toward my own two feet
dirt clumped beneath nails
and sand encrusted between toes
marking a journey not yet done
but clearly fought for
to reach the point when the sand
meets the sky
and i can reach the stars
