A cloud of whipped cream
Sits
On the mountain of moist vanilla cake
That floats delicately on my plate
In between layers
Like a lone streak of color on a pale canvas
Is a thin layer of the most delicious combination in the world
Whipped cream and espresso powder
Proudly flying above the plump cloud of tiramisu
Is a crimson strawberry
And a scepter of twisted dark chocolate
Tiramisu
Royalty in the kingdom of desserts
As the sweetly shaped cloud runs behind
A tree with strawberry leaves
And my daydream for the ultimate dessert
Ends
As I look down at my plate of tiramisu
And wish I had the tiramisu cloud instead
