Disappearing Act
I am shrinking
shriveling into myself.
The smaller I become,
the larger my flaws grow.
Away with the substance,
the Quality and Honor
and Truth.
Nothing remains but bones
sick and twisted and manipulating.
Sticking jagged through skin torn apart
by the Lies and the hurt and the fears.
A small shadow cast,
the last evidence of who I once was.
Of who I could have been.
Of who I’ll never be.
