Hiding Mistakes
I heard blunt and broken sound
Like a mirror hitting ground
A shattering, shrieking cry
Like the tears drops in your eyes
And with nothing but little hope
We felt what no one would know
Like the needle in your veins
I stay
Choking and shaking
We are unmaking the world we grew
With our dreams we drew on burnt paper
You were my taker
And I let you in
That’s how we begin
Tear the pages of a book
Recording every risk we took
Too unprotected
Open and tested
We killed the trust that we once had
Put the corpses in trash bags
And dug an unmarked grave
For our own sake
