Fly High
I feared a challenge to me would not be made,
Since no one of my level was present.
How would I improve,
With no goal in mind?
What would I aim for,
With no moon in the sky?
Then, you arrived;
You emerged
From under the wool,
Giving me the hope of something new.
My friend, you may not be soaring just yet,
But your wisdom will carry you far.
Wisdom of the world,
Of experience,
Of life?
Well, no, you don't quite have that yet,
But you do have the wisdom that comes with hard work,
With no complaints,
So you will travel some distance.
A bird
That has not quite taken flight
Is what you are like, "Midget,"
A young one no more,
Preparing to take to the sky.
Your spirit does not go by unnoticed,
And I'm certain you will fly high.
