My Secret Rhyme
I cannot tell,
I cannot tell,
And I must keep this secret well!
Although he makes my heart to swell,
And he rings such a unique bell,
On him I do not wish to dwell
Right now, but I know for him I fell,
So I dream but cannot tell,
For we are both too young, as I know well,
But in happiness I want to yell!
However, I know I cannot speak,
I cannot speak,
Cannot cause this out to leak!
I would not want to make friendships weak
With those who similar goals to me seek,
Causing drama, making hope quite bleak
For success in bond with who did speak,
When she said that he makes her, too, weak.
But I feel assured this is not a crime,
It is NOT a crime,
And all this time,
I am to act silently as a mime,
But I don't care, for it is worth the time,
And I know I must stop as if on a dime.
I would like to be his friend, but there is no grime
In feeling this way most of the time.
Oh well, I know this crush can't be a crime,
For it's wonderful; it doesn't need reason or rhyme.
