Colors of a Rainbow
Roses given as a gift of love,
Blood left form a tragic event,
The disappointment and excitement of being second-best,
Red.
Sometimes called red though really not,
A vicious tiger hunting prey,
Pumpkins being made into pies,
Orange.
Beautiful rays of sunshine,
Sweet daisies blowing in the breeze,
A baby canary just learning to fly,
Yellow.
The color of nature,
Vegetables that help us grow,
Leaves reappearing in the spring,
Green.
The vast and dreamy sky,
The enormous, wonderous ocean,
A little child's sparkling eyes,
Blue.
Bluish-purple,
Sometimes forgotten,
Sadly unnoticed,
Indigo.
The most beautiful ballerina's tutu,
The gift of friendship,
A young schoolgirl's dress,
Purple.
Beautiful apart,
Remarkable together,
Awe-inspiring,
The colors of a rainbow.
