Alone In A World Full of People
Groups and circles are formed
Tight and close
Yet I sand alone
Distant and quiet
No one speaks to me
They look at me and move further away
I am alone.
Alone in a world full of people
They speak
Yet I don’t listen
They are not speaking to me
But around me, of me
Whispers are heard
But my ears are closed to those as well
They are words about me, words of judgement
Meant to hurt
But I don’t listen
I hardly notice now
I am that fifth wheel
That unwanted member
So I stopped trying a long time ago
I have accepted the truth
I am alone.
Alone in a world full of people
