Scarlet red mask hiding blue eyes
shining with jewels and rubies
framing thick black lashes
Pulled away from eyes
revealing gray streaks
and one lasting tear drop
Hidden for hours
covered by red plastic
and costume jewelry
No one ever noticed
no one ever asked
what was beneath the mask

You are such an AMAZING writer! I just looked at your pieces and they were wonderful! You have such a unique voice, and the ideas are so awesome :) I especially like "Dear Death" because it was written so differently, and took an old idea and made it something entirely new on its own!!!

You're very welcome. I wonder... would you take a peek at some of my work?

I love this! I admit, the concept of the mask is not new among teenage writers, but you created an entirely new take on it! Very well done with your beautiful descriptions and profound meaning.
