Life and Death
Life is a grain of happiness slipping by the fingertips.
Time moves past us
and we must live life for the moment,
because each moment is part of our own story.
We live in times of agony and glory.
As the Devil stalks our open mind
we see an empty road.
This road isn’t for the weak and lost.
Vermin walk this path to damnation.
Our goals should be based on death.
Our love should be based on our want.
Our pain should be treated with guidance.
This is the road to life.
All great things must leave from our domain.
We can’t look at the world half full without looking at it half empty.
Life is a ticking time bomb that can change the present and future in an instant.
However, it is a poignant journey.
We cry for people’s death;
yet we should cheer for the memories they left us.
Death is inevitable.
So why are we scared?
Being scared gives us meaning.
We thrive on achieving and succeeding.
We can die today, or we can die the next.
God put us on Earth to do great things,
and suffer an unfortunate truth.
Death is the true path to happiness.
