For The Ferryman
I give to you, dear Ferryman
my two cents for this ride
I lay them lightly 'cross her lips
so sorry she had died
Save her from those hellish shores
take her to your world
Roam her free from hollow eyes
locks of red, so curled
Wade the Styx, but yield caution,
for she's a tender child
Such beauty wasted, and her time
ended as she smiled
In your boat she slumbers long
eyes closed forever
Landing strong upon the beach
will end her death endeavor
Here's for you, sweet Ferryman,
my reaper-river guide
two more cents, for it's my turn
to share your ferry ride
