Listen
The karma train is coming around
The historical loop is meeting its ends
Stand up quick, and drag your heels
Stop the cycle, restart the world
First the days of happy glee
Then the depression of overspending
Next the oppression of hard, cruel “kings”
Then the whisper of revolution is heard
The people say help me please, my freedom is locked in thee
The slightest freedoms begin to show
Then back to the days of happy glee
Finally the train has stopped, in exchange for a new lot
Dig your heels, down in the ground
Stop the cycle as it comes ‘round
Look to the sky
Small, next to the lofty “kings”
Shout to them, call out their faults
And whisper, “Won’t you listen please?”
Then wonder, “Where are the free?’’
