The puppy
Sadness does not know this mind
Terror leaves him unscarred
Joy is his eternal friend
A sprinting ray of light
flashes through the house
keeping darkness away
and light in it’s place
Everyone around as happy as can be
Forgetting all their troubles
as hands run through soft black fur
Slobber runs down your face
you try to push away
laughing at the puppy at play
