Musical Victory
You Step up to play, you make the critics pay. Your fingers are tingling & they long to move, now you feel the urge to groove. Music notes arrange in your head, the shell you live in is shed.
Sweat begins to trickle, oh how it tickles. You give all you got, & you discover that's alot! It starts to feel natural, the ease is actual. The guitar sings, the music rings. You hear a crack then a snap. Before you know it crack & snap turn to clap.
Quickly you take a bow, you are finished for now. But did you win? The question may depend what message you've sent. They announce your name, you've won the game. Then you with your joy and your guitar made of hickory, go on out to celebrate your musical victory.
