Alone
Chills are radiating down my spine at an impossible rate
The ice begins to stiffen my heart and pound my head
My body collides with the ground and I realize it’s too late
I miss the warmth of the sun and the softness of my bed
The jolts of lightening are getting clearer to see from where I’m laying
Thunderous roars are not only in my head, but shaking the ground below me
I close my eyes to continue my silent praying
